On the towpath on the Ruhr is a biking prohibition. This is what the city once again draws attention to, as there has recently been frequent disputes on both sides of the Ruhr. Cycling is only allowed on the Ruhrtalradweg, which runs on the side of Kassenberg and Düsseldorfer Straße. Many are unaware of where cycling is allowed and where it is not, according to the city. Pedestrians complain that cyclists often race and take no account. Cyclists criticize that they are being slowed down because pedestrians do not make room despite the bicycle bell. The city once again points out that both parties must share the path and should pay attention to each other.
