    Facts: after 4 years and 2 months to complete the tower it was opened on October 11, 2006. The tower is 297.3 metres high and 300 m above sea level. The lifts to the skydeck are the fastest of the sputhern hemisphere with 9 metres per second. The tower consists of 92 storeys and 3,680 steps. The glass on the top 10 floors is 24 carat gold plated.
    The Skydeck is situated on the 88th floor and is with 285m the highest public vintage point in the southern hemisphere.
