Between the mill and the lock, the pumped water runs to the IJsselmeer. The lock from 1615 with the arms of Katwoude (a cat and a tree are visible in this relief) Here the water from the polder was pumped into the Zuiderzee. Opposite the lock is the windmill that grinds the water up. Kathammer, the windmill from 1896 that still grinds water from, among others, the Katwoude-Hogendijk polder, using wind or electrical power. Between 1931 and 1988 the hood was missing because they were working with a diesel engine.
