It is astonishing that the lake has no name. In one source, however, the name "Kleiner Mühlenteich" is used, which makes sense because the mill pond is a few hundred meters further south. At the northern end of the lake is the old mill, which in its eventful history was used as a grain and sawmill, as a forestry, children's holiday camp and forest school.
