The bishop's castle Fürstenwalde, also called bishop's castle, was built in the 14th century. The castle had a very eventful history. It burned down in 1576 and was used in later centuries as a factory building and after the First World War as a department store. After the Second World War until the fall of the wall, warehouses and administrative rooms of the state wholesale trade of the GDR were located here. Then it fell into disrepair and was renovated in 2011. There has been a publicly accessible restaurant since 2012.
