Hiking
The Cyclops Stones consist of ancient sand that accumulated at the bottom of the Cretaceous Sea several million years ago. When the sea retreated, the sand layer was exposed. In some places the quartz in the sand was dissolved by tropical rain and seeped into deeper layers of soil, where it cemented into hard sandstone and quartz beds - today's Cyclops stones. Over the course of millions of years, they have come back to the surface due to environmental influences.
