According to legend, the Mittelwald forester's house was the place where the "Wildschütz Klostermann" spent his youth, as his stepfather, Ernst Friedrich Wilhelm Dalchow, worked there as a forester. But it can be seen as certain that this is not true. Because Dalchov started the forestry service in Mittelwald in 1859. At that time, Klostermann was already in his 20th year and at the end of his military service in Minden.
The fort house has not been used as such since the war and was later used as a weekend house by a wealthy local entrepreneur.
