The Kinzenbach train station was on the former »Kanonenbahn«, which ran from Berlin to the French border near Metz, in the Lollar – Wetzlar section. This section was the bypass of the Gießen railway junction, which was operated in sections until 1990 in freight traffic.
In 1996 the "Kanonenbahnfreunde Heuchelheim" founded to commemorate the railway history as part of a local museum in the old Kinzenbach train station: heimatmuseum-heuchelheim.de
