The Giersteine (natural monument)
At a particularly exposed point on a mountaintop near Bermersbach are the Giersteine, much visited as one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Forbach holiday region. The Giersteine are a group of granite blocks of different sizes, located 160 meters steeply above the Murg. Two blocks are particularly striking due to their size, depressions and grooves. The larger block measures over 13 meters in circumference. The depressions and grooves are created by various weathering processes.
