Stausee Obermaubach

Magnificent view of the Rur Valley and the reservoir. The forest chapel was built between 1994 and 1996 by the Obermaubach working group and is open to visitors. This "Eifelblick" is a good place for a rest and there are enough benches available.

The reservoir Obermaubach is suitable as a starting point for a comfortable, largely flat hike along the lake or to carry out a challenging hike above the reservoir. Several restaurants are available. The reservoir is ideal as a start / finish or stopover for MTB tours.
