Santa Maria degli Angeli

Designed by the world-famous architect Mario Botta, the Santa Maria degli Angeli church on Monte Tamaro is a masterpiece of contemporary architecture.

All Foppa is the starting point of one of the most beautiful Ticino mountain hikes, the "Traversata Monte Tamaro - Monte Lema". Duration with picnic break and time to enjoy the magnificent view about 5 hours. From Monte Lema a bus back to Rivera (reservation there).

The visit of the Santa Maria degli Angeli on the Alpe Foppa is a must. Designed by world-famous architect Mario Botta, the church with paintings by Enzo Cucchi is a masterpiece of contemporary architecture.

The church is easily reachable by Rivera-Bironico by gondola.
