Beach Pathway to Bansin Seaside

After German reunificationAfter 1991, when the seaside resort was included in the urban development program, huge sums were invested in modernizing the infrastructure. Guest houses, restaurants and hotels returned to private hands and were largely renovated, so that Bansin's townscape increasingly regained its traditionally sophisticated character. In 1997, the community was awarded the title of Baltic Sea health resort.On January 1, 2005, the three Baltic Sea resorts of Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin, which had previously been independent communities, were merged to form the community of Dreikaiserbäder. On January 1, 2006, this was renamed Heringsdorf.
