Cycling
Cernay, a charming town on the edge of the Vosges Mountains, breathes history. Once a fortified medieval town, it played an important role in Alsace throughout the centuries. You can still find remains of ramparts, towers and the impressive Porte de Thann, now a museum. Cernay was badly damaged during both world wars, but it has risen again with character. Today, the town combines its rich heritage with a green, peaceful location close to the Route des Crêtes – ideal for a historical stopover on your bike tour.
