Very worth seeing castle ensemble in Greiz, located directly on the river Weisse Elster. Below the castle are the imposing steps leading to the banks of the White Elster. The castle and park are very nice to look at. A short detour is worthwhile just because of the architecture and the postcard idyll of the castle and river.
