Interesting topic that was up to date a hundred years ago! Restriction on oneself, disclaimer of consumption, naturalness, health and community are just in demand again today and a rethinking can be noticed in society! Here you can learn!

The small path from Jungborn to Jungborn Platz east of Ecker is a wild garlic sea in April. A wonderful smell of garlic is then in the air.

The site of the former spa Jungborn is - although not too much to see - quite interesting. It's a bit of resin history.

It's a shame that it doesn't exist anymore. The pictures somehow speak volumes.

Founded as a naturopathic institute in 1896, it housed Victor de Kowa, Marika Rökk, Hans Albers, Leo Slezak and Franz Kafka, among others. Further milestones in the history of the institution can be read very nicely on information boards.

The "Jungborn" was the first natural sanctuary in Germany and was opened by the life reformer Adolf Just in June 1896. Water, earth, light and air - these are the remedies of nature according to eternal laws. These four primal elements, combined with the proven meatless Jungborn diet and a healthy, affirmative attitude to life, were the focus of Jungborn's healing and way of life and were applied individually.
During and after the Second World War, the terrain was used differently before the buildings were demolished in the course of the internal German border security.
The Förderverein Jungborn Harz e.V. has made the revival of the Jungborn idea its task.
