The Motzenstein is a rock spur near the town of Wattendorf in the Bamberg district. The approximately 15 meter high dolomite rock block lies at an altitude of 520 m above sea level. NN, 700 meters southeast of Wattenstein, in a forest. The spur is only accessible from the south side, the rock falls off in all other directions. It is adjoined in the south-east by a 300 m long saddle on which numerous dolomite formations are visible.
