The Sensbacher Höhe, a mountain range in the Hessian Odenwald, is 558 m above sea level. NHN the second highest elevation in the Odenwald district after the Kohlwald near Bullau.
The cemetery of the former municipalities of Hebstahl, Ober- and Unter-Sensbach is on Sensbacher Höhe. As the year 1619 in the entrance arch shows, it was created at the beginning of the Thirty Years' War. The oldest parts of the enclosure wall date from this period. Today it only serves as a cemetery for the districts of Ober- and Unter-Sensbach, since Hebstahl has had its own cemetery since the end of the 19th century.
The cemetery chapel owes its present shape to a renovation from 1744.
The crypt of the Erbach-Fürstenau count's house is in the cemetery.
The CEO of Dresdner Bank, Jürgen Ponto, was buried here in 1977. He was shot by the RAF in the same year.

Beautiful well maintained cemetery in the middle of the forest.

Arrived at the Sensbacher height a place to rest, before it goes down again on the other side.
