This Highlight is in a protected area
Please check local regulations for: Niederlausitzer Heidelandschaft
Location: Plessa, Elbe-Elster, Lower Lusatia, Brandenburg, Germany
In the middle of the "wilderness" of moors, forests and "lakes" lies the residual hole / residual lake 111.
Part of the former Plessa opencast mine.
The access is on forest paths and unpaved paths, but easy to cycle.
Scientific research is carried out here to find out what options there are to counteract the acidification of the open pit lakes.
