Via a narrow path with willow sticks you can reach Ludgeri-Rast after a few minutes, directly on the country road. Exactly at this historical place, on the heights of the Coesfeld mountain (152m), the missionary Ludgerus, suffering from health problems and accompanied by his brothers, took a break here and blessed the Münsterland. The monument with cross was erected in 1938 by the Benedictine monk Dominikus Zwernemann (1901-1983), the relief shows St. Liudger, blessing and supported by two monks, commemorating this event.
