Actually, these are the sand pits between Atzmannsricht, Kainsricht, Großschönbrunn until just before Ehenfeld. Some call the pits the Grand Canyon of the Upper Palatinate. The sand stick height is about 32 meters and extends over eight kilometers of terrain.
