In 1874 a Celtic burial mound was discovered in the "Am Fuchshübel" district. Based on the valuable grave goods, it can be assumed that the buried person must have been an important man. The Celtic grave, which dates back to around 400 BC was dated, has since been known as the "princely grave of Rodenbach" and is considered the most important find from the La Tène period north of the Alps. The excavations brought to light iron weapons and bronze vessels, among other things. The most valuable additions, however, were a gold bangle and a gold one finger ring.
