Generally considered to be the finest among the Lawers Group, An Stùc is a magnificent mountain peak. Its tabled summit rises to 3,668 feet (1,118 m), the same height as neighbouring Meall Garbh but still some way short of nearby Ben Lawers, the highest mountain in Britain south of Glen Nevis.

An Stùc is usually either ascended after Ben Lawers via its south ridge or from Meall Garbh via its steep and eroded north east flank. In summer conditions, the latter is a bit of a loose clamber but is not overly technical, though it can be tricky when wet. In winter, it's a different ball game altogether and calls for mountaineering skills and equipment.

An Stùc is a 3,668-foot (1,118 m) Munro in the Scottish Highlands. Its next door neighbour is Ben Lawers. If going on to Meall Garbh from the summit of An Stuc, take caution as the ground is steep and heavily eroded.
