The "Old Fritz" rises massively in the Görgl valley. The striking and protected rock is an attraction for hikers, who stands under the "Old Fritz" is impressed by the thickness of this rock. It takes its name from its appearance, which is reminiscent of the headgear of the Prussian king from the 18th century. Today only pictures remind of the original form. In the 1960s, the cap was in danger of falling, which is why the THW removed it in a spectacular campaign. The "Alter Fritz" circular hiking trail has also been repaired and is maintained and improved with much love.

In 2002, Mario Flierl, chairman of the Ammerthaler Agenda working group, kissed the old Fritz and the associated hiking trail together with his committed volunteer helpers from their sleep. With a lot of commitment and enthusiasm, the natural monument in the Görgl Valley was uncovered and given a notice board.
