An old monastery along the Romanesque Road and the Harz Monastery Hiking Trail. Today there is a monastery museum, places to stop and stay overnight. Concerts, conferences and events also take place here regularly.
The lovingly landscaped gardens, where you can learn all kinds of things about growing herbs and vegetables, are also particularly worth seeing. Another highlight is the Michaelsteiner Klosterfest, which takes place annually at the beginning of August and combines art, music and nature.
