Old Town Hall / Local History Museum / Church – Crumstadt 🚴‍

The old town hall, built around 1845/1847, with the Protestant church, is located on Rathaus/Darmstädter Straße, right in the center of Crumstadt.

The local local history museum is still housed behind the former municipal building. Here, you can also admire "The Woman in Sand," an extremely well-preserved skeleton of a young woman from the Middle Bronze Age (ca. 1500 BC).

The Protestant church was commissioned by Landgrave George I as a Protestant church and, after its completion in 1593, is thus one of the oldest Protestant churches.

Crumstadt was first mentioned in a document in 1248, but it is likely that, like the surrounding villages, it was a much older Franconian settlement. 🚴‍
