Very beautiful ruin with thanksgiving plaques, some of which are around 100 years old. Mostly to the Virgin Mary, from people who have received help in health or other emergencies.

The pilgrimage church Hausenborn was built in 1441 as a foundation of the lords of Isenburg and abandoned in 1788.
In 1984 it was possible to begin the renovation work and in 1990 the consecration of the Pietà as a duplicate of the historic Vesperbildes from the 15th century.
The monument protection and the Förderkreis pilgrimage chapel Hausenborn e.V. as well as the GGH endeavor to preserve the old pilgrimage site as a place of worship and the retreat of this stone witness of homeland and church history past.

Very beautiful ruin, appears suddenly in front of you, when you enter it there is something unreal.

The ruin is a special place that you should let it sink in.

Beautiful pilgrimage church! However, the ascent from below from the valley of Isenburg is very difficult and steep. My recommendation: run from Anhausen there. It's a lot more relaxed.

Very nice ruin! A really mystical place that is definitely worth the not-so-easy climb.

A real insider tip, is very well cared for and maintained and still exudes a great mystical atmosphere, or perhaps because of it.

The monastery trail, which leads back down to the village, lies between the ruins and the cross.

A wonderful place of silence in beautiful surroundings that at least now "glow" green. A visit is an absolute recommendation.

A very special place of rest and contemplation. But you should also have respect for this place.

The Hausenborn pilgrimage chapel is really an impressive monument. Imagine how people created it back then: without wheel loaders and excavators. And that is exactly how it is maintained today by volunteers.
