The cultural monument Limeswachturm Wp 1/54 is a reconstruction of a watchtower of the Upper Germanic-Rhaetian Limes with palisade, rampart and moat from the year 1912. In 2009 and 2010 it was extensively restored.

The original foundations are located about 20 meters from the reconstruction of the Roman tower.

Too bad that you can not climb the tower.

The tower was open and you will be rewarded with a great view of the Neuwieder Becken.

Unfortunately the tower was closed. Nevertheless, the view could be enjoyed from in front of the tower.

A picnic bench and a relaxation lounger are available at the Römerturm on the Pulverberg. Only the (inaccessible) reconstructed Roman tower stands in the way of the view; o)

Great view and there is the possibility to rest here. Information about the Limes is posted on information boards.

From the Roman tower on the Limes you have a great view of the valley! Unfortunately, the Roman tower is usually closed and can be accessed at certain times / arrangements. We were lucky, there was a gentleman with a key at the tower, so that we could go up.

Not only is the view from the tower's "balcony" beautiful, but also the wooden staircase inside, see photos. :-)

The reward after the somewhat steep climb. Nice tower and wide view.
