Several panels with 3D visualizations show the amphitheater as a reconstruction! With interesting explanations!
In the basement you can empathize with the gladiators ... tapes, puddles of water, beams, dark ... but you walk cleanly over a wooden walkway :-)

Games were shown here, gladiator fights, executions. What was so fun in ancient Rome. You can walk around in it, no longer have to worry about being torn to pieces by lions.
Admission € 4, reduced € 3.

The amphitheater is partially preserved and gives a good impression of how it looked about 1700 years ago. You should also look at the basement.

Unfortunately, tickets for the amphitheater are not available on site. At best, go to the tourist office at the Porta Nigra.

The entrance fee of 4.00 euros is well spent, if only because of the Arenakeller. Great insights into the world of the Roman era.
