It's very nice that you can read an explanation about the old bridges that have since been demolished.
Small remains of the old bridges can often be discovered along the entire branch canal.

A fragment of bridge No. 73 was secured by the Hollager Hof local history association during demolition, restored and erected as a monument next to the new bridge in August 2004. A plaque points out the regional importance of the old bridges.
Because of the uniqueness of the old bridges over the branch canal, a section of bridge 73 (Niehaus Bridge) and the sandstone portal have been rebuilt here so that future generations can understand the craftsmanship around 1910. In the Hollage district there were four arched bridges with sandstone portals that were built between 1910 and 1914. The load-bearing parts, as seen here, are designed as a riveted steel truss construction. The railings show Art Nouveau elements.

At this bridge you can change the side of the canal if you want to stay on the water. The Brockhauser Str. later goes asphalted to the canal to the Hollager lock and is super developed.
