The Friedrich tunnel was started in 1734 and reached the coal deposits on the Meißner in 1766. It was initially used for drainage and ventilation of the coal mines, and later also for coal extraction. Inscription on the keystone at the mouth: "Friedrichsstollen 1976 - bricked up 1824"
