Broadcasting station of the Südwestrundfunk a little southwest of the 658 m high Haardtkopf.
Among other things there is a 136 m high free-standing, guyed transmission tower from 1952.
Between 2018 and 2019, a new, approximately 136 m high steel lattice tower was built to replace the old steel structure.
In addition to the two masts of the Südwestrundfunk, there is another 74 m high steel lattice mast on the site. This is operated by the Deutsche Funkturm and is home to mobile radio, microwave and BOS radio.

On the way down to the transmitter in Gornhausen, if there is enough snow, you can go on wonderful sleigh rides in winter. We did this with our children about 20 years ago.
