Tips

The Herzogstand offers fantastic views of some lakes in the north and the Walchensee and the Alps with all the mountains in the south. Fantastic in winter as in summer.

If the duchy is not enough, he goes over the 1.5h long tightrope walk over to the home garden.

When the weather is fine you have a very nice panoramic view from here. One can also get information about the Herzogstand webcam well the weather conditions at the summit.

The view from the Herzogstand over the Walchensee is very nice. Who wants to abbreviate, can also take the Herzogstandbahn from Walchensee, then the climb takes about an hour. For Fittere the ascent from the Kochelsee via Kesselberg is recommended, then you have pretty much exhausted the maximum of vertical meters :)

  • Here you have a great view into the interior of Munich! Brilliant. On good days, there is a lot of business, as opened by cable car. At the opposite Heimgarten summit you can enjoy a snack in peace. Here you have an even more beautiful panoramic view.

The Herzogstand is a well-to-reach, but also very popular excursion peak. Alone one is never here. Who wants less excitement, should go to the Simetsberg.

You have a fantastic all-round view from here! However, the mountain is overrun by the cable car "extremely"!

Just belongs to when you come from the area. But most beautiful between the seasons, when the skiers are gone and most hikers are not there yet.

For occasional hikers the best route to the Herzogstand. Condition should be present if the partly steep ramps.

Fantastic, easy to master climb with a wonderful view over the foothills of the Alps to Munich. But during the holiday season in the summer on weekends just too crowded. Prefer to take the time and come during the week. It is worth it!

Many people up here with the train go up.
More a tourist mountain than loneliness.
