Pfeishütte

Rustic and cozy hut in the Pfeistal. Hundreds of chamois and a few ibex can be seen around the hut.
Great food and very friendly staff who ask everyone where they are going the following day and point out possible dangers. You also get a good weather report for the next day.

Loosely graveled a trail winds in switchbacks (S2-S3) down to the Pfeishütte. It is one of those typical slippery paths of the Karwendel. Quite provocative, the innkeeper of the Pfeishütte seems to want to reward all conquerors - rumors say he does not let a cyclist pass without at least one drunk booze.

The beautiful view from the hut you have to work hard already. The last 3 kilometers are not easy to drive as the path is steep and the gravel / gravel is very loose. But it's worth it.

Very good kitchen, beautifully located. The interior furnishings appear mostly "original", that is, old, dark wood with a certain skew, which gives the whole thing a rustic impression.

At the upper end of the valley, a cozy hut awaits you, where you can also spend the night. But just enjoying the view on the terrace with a drink is highly recommended. Also easily accessible from Innsbruck via the Nordkette cable car.
