The Ohlsdorfer Friedhof is the largest cemetery in Europe and has its own infrastructure, such as its own bus stops and road network. The use of the streets by bike is officially approved, but you have to be careful not to overtake any funeral procession! In addition, some of the access gates will be closed overnight. You should keep this in mind if the tour takes longer in summer.

Ehrenfriedhof in the form of a baroque garden with staircase and towering Christ figure laid out on the merited Hamburg personalities to find their last rest. Various mayors and merchants, but also artists are buried in this park part, which today is called "Althamburgischer Gedächtnisfriedhof".
