All three villages were totally destroyed in the 1976 earthquake. In recent years, attempts have been made to rebuild the houses wherever possible and to use them as weekend and holiday homes. Only a handful of houses are permanently inhabited in summer, although there is said to be a resident in Moggessa di qua who also spends the winter in the village.

Mountain biking

This is a small votive chapel located in a fork on the CAI 420/421 trail leading to the summit of Monte Monticello. This fork is located at approximately 920 meters above sea level, along the descent from Monticello, and is characterized by the presence of a crucifix or a book for passage stamps, typical elements of small votive chapels in Alpine environments.
