Hiking

The Sternburg brewery is a former brewery in the Leipzig district of Lützschena, which existed between 1822 and 1991. The brewery is the namesake of the Sternburg beer brand, the buildings located on the street Zur alten Brauerei and mostly listed buildings are still largely intact.

Hiking

Nobody can say exactly since when beer was brewed in Lützschena. What is certain is that the brewery belonging to Gut Lützschena was granted the privilege in 1785 of being able to sell its beer in Leipzig "because of its strength and quality". It was served in what was then the castle cellar, where the Mövenpick restaurant is located today.
