The Rieke Stone is a glacial erratic boulder measuring 2 meters high, 2 meters wide, and 3.5 meters long, with a volume of approximately 8.4 cubic meters. What makes this stone special is its weathered inscription, which states that 27 Schümer of lead were caught there in one hour in February 1769.

Furthermore, a legend surrounds the Rieke Stone and the Devil's Stone near Hohendorf.

Two giants once hurled stones at each other—one in Hohendorf, the other standing on the Gnitz peninsula. Their intention: each wanted to kill the other. One stone lies near Hohendorf, the other protrudes from the Achterwasser lagoon off the Gnitz peninsula. What became of the two giants? Well, unfortunately, we don't know.

Can also be viewed very well from the backwaters, simply rent a SUP from the surf school at the campsite and less than 10 minutes later you are there

The writing can only be read from the water. This also applies to a rich fishing catch.
