Open plateau with a view to the west over the Staufenberg Castle (Durbach) into the Upper Rhine Valley in the direction of Strasbourg and to the east in the direction of the refuge and book head tower.A place to linger in the sun. With benches and table for rest. Beautiful.

Nice view of the Black Forest and especially to the Staufenberg castle with the Rhine valley behind it, rest area available.
