Mountain Biking Highlight
Conspicuous dorsal mountain in the Haardt, the eastern edge of the Palatinate Forest to the Upper Rhine Plain. On top of the hill are a broadcasting radio mast, which is usually called "Weinbietsender" on the spot, a bricked panorama tower with weather station ("Weinbietturm") and the excursion restaurant Weinbiethaus. The two striking towers make the mountain from the 400 m lower level to a regional landmark, according to which the wine cooperative Weinbiet Manufaktur of Neustadt districts Mußbach (seat), Gimmeldingen and Haardt has chosen its name.

The 554 m high wine area on the forest area of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse (Rhineland-Palatinate) is a free-standing, conspicuous ridge mountain in the Haardt, the eastern edge of the Palatinate Forest towards the Upper Rhine Plain. On the top of the hill there is a radio transmission mast, which is usually called "Weinbietsender" on site, a walled panorama tower with a weather station ("Weinbiethaus") and the excursion restaurant Weinbiethaus. The two distinctive towers make the mountain from the plain 400 m below a regional landmark, after which the winegrowers' cooperative Weinbiet Manufaktur in the Neustadt districts of Mußbach (Sitz), Gimmeldingen and Haardt chose their name.Source: Wikipedia
