Weinbiet Summit (554 m)

Conspicuous dorsal mountain in the Haardt, the eastern edge of the Palatinate Forest to the Upper Rhine Plain. On top of the hill are a broadcasting radio mast, which is usually called "Weinbietsender" on the spot, a bricked panorama tower with weather station ("Weinbietturm") and the excursion restaurant Weinbiethaus. The two striking towers make the mountain from the 400 m lower level to a regional landmark, according to which the wine cooperative Weinbiet Manufaktur of Neustadt districts Mußbach (seat), Gimmeldingen and Haardt has chosen its name.

The Weinbiet is a very versatile mountain. One has challenging trail and wide paths. In good weather and Wednesdays you can reward yourself at the destination with the good hospitality of the Weinbiethauses.
