Just read the following:
“The point of Cabourg is more recent, as the river Dive- (s) led directly to the sea in 1790. A coastal cordon that was formed from sediment accumulations that settle on the edge of the sea ”(settling would be better here!)
Since I speak French as well as German, I would like to say the following:
The “Pointe de Cabourg” means the “Point of Cabourg”, not the point!
