The San Antolín de Bedón monastery was built at the mouth of the Bedón near the sea and coast.
The year of construction of the monastery is unknown, the first evidence comes from the 12th century. The only surviving testimony is the church, whose architectural style corresponds to the advanced Romanesque transition to the Gothic, which is indicated in the use of the pointed arch.
