    Weeping beech Hagstedt
    The more than 100 year old beech is cared for by the Hagstedt village community. Under the huge treetop is a crossroad, the so-called "Wendt Krüz". The imposing tree and the cross - located directly on the Way of the Cross - are reminiscent of the lonely death of the cellist Josef August Beneke on February 10, 1898 at this location.
