Hiking

The Wupper is a low mountain river with a length of 115 km. After leaving Leichlingen, it finally flows into the Rhine in several meandering curves with only a slight gradient.
The Wupper valley widens between Leichlingen and Leverkusen and forms a wide floodplain. Before it flows into the Rhine below Leverkusen-Opladen, the course of the water has been relocated and significantly straightened several times.
