View of Grüterich a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth. In 1443 the place is mentioned for the first time under the name "Grutringhen" in an income and rights list of the Cologne Apostelstift. The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows four courtyards and denotes them with "Grüterig". The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 shows nine separate floor plans on two enclosed courtyards under the name “Grutrich”. From the Prussian first recording in 1840, the place name Grüterich is used.

A sandstone crossroads in the local area dates from 1855.
