Hiking

is considered to be the oldest industrial building in Stormarn. A Hamburg merchant family (Amsinck) had the mill built for the production of copper plates. Most recently it was used for paper production until it was listed as a monument in 1972.
Today the mill is privately owned and with the adjacent lake can only be guessed at from a reasonable distance.
