The PWV knight's stone monastery fountain may bear the story of a monastery, because the monastery fountain is in the immediate vicinity. The sandstone boulder was set up right next to the shelter of PWV Lemburg. Ceramic shards from the 8th to 13th centuries were found when the hut was built, and further remains of the foundations were uncovered. A Romanesque chapel window was also discovered. So it is reasonable to assume that there was a chapel here.

“During the construction of the PWV Lemberg shelter [Klosterbrunnhütte], ceramic shards were discovered in 1950 that date from the 8th to 13th centuries. An excavation under scientific supervision uncovered the remains of the foundations of 3 buildings on the rock plateau above the refuge. A recovered chapel window of Romanesque origin indicates the presence of a chapel.
According to Dr. Karlwerner Kaiser from the State Office for Monument Preservation, Dept. of Archaeological Monument Preservation, in Speyer, the complex, which is unique in our area, is a desert, an emerging [abandoned?] settlement area of the Middle Ages.
The settlement site was most likely an early outpost, a fortified farmyard with a chapel, of the Pirmasens monastery farm, attested around 820, to promote the mission and secure the property of Horbach Abbey. The early farm complex is considered the nucleus for today’s village of Lemberg.”

When the PWV Lemberg was building this hut in 1950, ceramic discs were discovered that date from the 8th-13th centuries. century. Further investigations revealed that there were three buildings above today's shelter, one of which was a chapel.
