The Marstall is part of the former estate in the former estate village of Woldenhorn
and was built between 1845 and 1846. In addition to Ahrensburg Castle and the castle church with the so-called Gottesbuden (God's Booths), the historic complex also includes the Bagatelle (Bagatelle Hall) and the former watermill.
From the castle, one can see the stable hall, the front, older part
of the building – an exhibition space that has enjoyed national renown for years. Here, the gallery in the Marstall Ahrensburg primarily displays contemporary art.
