The entrance area of the castle island was provided with the granite arch bridge from 1841 to 1843 and a neo-Gothic gatehouse in 1845, which had to be demolished in 1960 due to its dilapidation. Opposite is the stables, built from 1846, which is the only significant building of this construction phase that has been preserved. It has served as the cultural center of the city of Ahrensburg since 2000. The large arched building was built in 1845 and accommodated not only stables but also official apartments for employees of the estate. Behind the three-winged building, the farm was renovated and equipped with cattle stables, grain stores, a riding hall and greenhouses. In 1896 a fire destroyed most of the buildings. Some of the new buildings that were subsequently built are still preserved, but the former farm was no longer needed after the farm was closed and became privately owned.

The Marstall cultural center is located in the building of the historic Marstall. The Marstall is part of the former facility in the then Gutsdorf Woldenhorn and was built from 1845 to 1846. In addition to the Ahrensburg castle and the castle church with the so-called booths of God, the historical complex also includes the bagatelle and the former water mill.

Seen from the castle, you can see the stable hall, the front, older part of the building - a showroom that has been known nationally for years. Contemporary art is predominantly shown here in the gallery in Marstall Ahrensburg.

In the right part of the building is the coach house, the former carriage hall. The left part of the building is privately owned. In the rear part of the complex, which cannot be seen from the street, is the former riding hall (built in 1897), which was converted into a modern event hall in 2006, but has retained its historical substance. With the modern foyer, which is built at the same time, it forms the heart of the Marstall cultural center.

Different events take place in the riding hall and in the foyer. The riding hall has 280 seats, a stage and a modern lighting and sound system. There is a counter in the foyer for catering and cloakrooms.

The former coach house was expanded in 2013 to a further event room of the cultural center; Since then, the cultural center's offices have also been located there.

The old Marsstall still looks great and is now used as a cultural center. The Marstall is part of the former facility in what was then the Gutsdorf Woldenhorn and was built from 1845 to 1846. In addition to the Ahrensburg Castle and the Castle Church, the historic complex also includes the former watermill
