In 1869, the hunting lodge was built by the royal architect Nabbath next to the Dreilinden forestry company. It served as a retreat for Prince Frederick Charles of Prussia. His main residence was in the Kleinglienicke hunting lodge. Here in Dreilinden he lived as a forester and hunter. Since 1833, after three lime trees were planted, the house was called "Dreilinden". The prince's round tables, which Theodor Fontane reported from his own experience in his book "Five Castles", are legendary.
From 1945 to 1952 the facility was occupied by the US Army. It was demolished in 1954.
