The historic Fischhaus is one of the oldest inns in Dresden. As early as 1476, the Dresden Augustinian monks were given permission to divert the clear water for their monastery and to create fish breeding ponds. The pond keeper's house has been called the Fischhaus ever since. A license to serve alcohol was granted in 1650, when the district forester already resided here.

The Fischhaus established itself as a place to stop off and with its beautiful ambience is still worth a visit today.

We ate here. Extremely attentive service. A highly recommended restaurant with a large indoor and outdoor area.

Regional cuisine and a good selection of dishes. We were there during "Green Week," and it featured a nice selection of veggie dishes. It offers the full range, and veggie and vegan options are clearly marked.

You can also stay overnight here. There's also a large children's playground and a beer garden.
