It is astonishing that a monastery was once built here on the Stromberghöhe in the 14th century.
Surface finds of ceramic shards spoke in 1970 for a settlement here. The area was completely forested before the excavation. In 1975 they started digging and found the monastery.

Between 1364 and 1374, some pious women became hermits (‘inclusae’), i.e. H. without religious affiliation, settled on the Baiselsberg. They were part of the upper urban middle class.
